Countess Bathory was this real-life noblewoman from the Kingdom of Hungary, who was named the most prolific female serial killer. She has been the inspiration for many Folklore stories.
Most recently, the television show American Horror Story loosely based Lady Gaga’s Countess Elizabeth Johnson off of Countess Bathory.
This infamous historical Countess is the inspiration for IFA Picture’s latest project.
IFA Pictures has announced that their latest production “THE BLOOD COUNTESS” is slated to begin shooting during the first quarter of 2022. Written by Pascale Bodart and directed by Lorelei Lanford, Award winner Guy Bodart has joined the production as Director of Photography and with the extremely talented Costume designer Sheri Lawson creating the lavish costumes. This movie will be shot on film stock to capture the same look and feel that people love from classic Hammer movies, but will offer more death, horror, seduction, and sensuality
IFA PICTURES which is based in Las Vegas is scheduled to shoot in a local studio, where stunning sets will be built for the movie.
Casting is underway for the main character of Countess Elizabeth, with auditions being planned in both Los Angeles and Las Vegas. In addition, video submissions are already being submitted from around the globe.
This will be a long casting process in order to find the perfect person to embody the infamous Countess Elizabeth Bathory.
The Countess has been a topic long discussed, with the atrocities of her acts featured in books, but now is the time to have her story come to life with “THE BLOOD COUNTESS”.
