Inside the Cult: Horror Movie Grace of God Begins Filming

Deep in the woods of the Pacific Northwest, a doomsday cult is coming to life, on camera.

HH Entertainment Group, the indie production company behind B-horror titles like The Arkansas Pigman Massacre, Don’t Make a Sound, Ouija Clown, and Ghosts of Amityville, has officially entered production on its most ambitious film to date: Grace of God.

Written and directed by JT Kris, Grace of God marks a stark shift in tone and vision. Described as a religious horror, the film centers on a secluded apocalyptic cult, tucked away from society in a forest commune, where an indoctrinated girl begins to unravel the terrifying truth about the people who raised her.

“It’s a very different kind of horror movie for us,” Kris said. “I’ve done the loud, bloody, no-budget stuff, now I wanted to try something personal, grounded, and emotionally honest. This is about dread that builds slowly. A quiet scream.”

Starring Junie Liv Thomasson and Dante B. Salazar, Grace of God dives deep into spiritual trauma, isolation, and psychological manipulation,  exploring what it means to question your reality when it’s the only one you’ve ever known.

Grace of God takes its cues from more elevated horror fare such as The Witch, Midsommar, and Hereditary, emphasizing atmosphere and emotional storytelling over jump scares and gore.

Currently filming in an undisclosed rural location, the production is rumored to be using practical sets and natural light to achieve its eerie, isolated tone. The cast also includes a mix of newcomers and horror veterans, with additional names to be announced.

Grace of God is expected to wrap later this year.

Stay tuned,  something unholy is coming.
